Dry Eye Services

Let us help your eyes feel better!

Dry Eye Disease is inflammation driven responses to a variety of
triggers, which may not be adequately managed with a patient’s ongoing
maintenance therapy, such as artificial tears and daily chronic
prescription therapies.

Dr. Rustagi and his Associates can relieve your discomfort, help you
manage (and even eliminate) the potentially disabling vision symptoms
of dry eye.

People who have Dry Eye Syndrome may experience these complications:

  • Eye Infections. Your tears protect the surface of
your eyes from infection. Without adequate tears, you may have an
    increased risk of infection.
  • Damage to the surface of your eyes. If left
untreated, severe dry eyes can lead to eye inflammation, abrasion of
the corneal surface, corneal ulcers and vision loss.
  • Decreased quality of life. Dry eyes can make it
difficult to perform everyday activities, such as reading.

Are eye drop solutions we’re excited to offer our patients. These drops help relieve symptoms by reducing inflammation. They also support the eye in producing natural and strong tears, lessening the effects of dry eye in the future.

Stem cell membranes are one of our more innovative solutions for treating dry eyes. The membranes are made of stem cell tissues that have healing and regenerative materials. Stem cell membranes are typically used for severe cases of dry eye and can relieve symptoms of light sensitivity, foreign body sensation, and severe dryness. Please contact us to learn more about Stem cell membranes.

Punctal plugs are tiny plugs that are inserted into a patient’s tear ducts. They are placed in the puncta — the area where tears escape from the eye. These plugs stop fluids from leaking and keep the eye lubricated. This helps limit irritation caused by dry eye disease. Punctal plugs can be both temporary and semi-permanent.

OptiLight is the first and only IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) FDA-approved treatment for dry eye disease caused by MGD (meibomian gland dysfunction). This gentle and noninvasive procedure is safe and supported by more than 20 clinical studies.
